Intro
“ | When the cold comes for you, the blood stops running to your limbs. It pulls up inside to keep your organs warm. My first love told me that. An off-shore roughnecker, he was. Tall and lean and tough as wet leather. He'd say, "Ruthie, your smile keeps me warm, so be sure to wear it 'til I'm home." Next, the cold comes for your mind. And after that, your will. And yet, still, the heart fights on. (...) He left me too soon, my roughneck love. His rig went down with every man aboard. But I know my smile kept him warm as he floated, all alone. Just as I know our hearts will be the last thing to go on Wilford's train, 1,023 cars long. | ” |

Trivia
- The title of the episode is a line in Ruth Wardell's opening dialogue, implying about how she would never give up no matter what she has to lose. Later in the episode Asha would also said that her little brother was "the last one to go (die)".
- It's revealed that there's surviving rats on the train which are used as message couriers by Ruth and the resistance.
- Bennett determines that the location checked out in The Tortoise and the Hare won't be habitable for a century "give or take" as, even though it's warming, the trend isn't steep enough to be habitable yet. This is the same as the other four locations that they had checked out, leaving only one possible location left for recolonization. However, the train lacks the resources necessary to make the journey there.
- The remaining location is in the southern Arabian Peninsula on the Horn of Africa which is stated to look promising.
- The Pirate train is once again referred to as Snowpiercer while the train that was left behind is simply called "Wilford's train" in Ruth's opening monologue and Wilford simply calls it "our train." The only time that it's referred to as Layton's pirate train in dialogue is when Wilford is preparing to freeze Ruth's arm off at the end.
- After Layton tells Asha that she's on Snowpiercer, she isn’t confused what that is and is surprised that it survived, which means the Wilford Industries Global Express was also known as Snowpiercer, before it was secretly turned into a ark.

- Oz's full name is revealed to be John Christopher Ozweiler.
- Layton identifies the Dragon's Blood Tree from his vision which he discovers only grows in Socotra, near the Horn of Africa.

- It's revealed that Wilford had only put in the ports to freeze people's arms off as an idle threat, but that Ruth had used them 13 times.
- However, Layton said 13 people lost a arm in First, the Weather Changed and Ruth then removed Suzanne's in Prepare to Brace.
- The Earth's satellites are degrading, making navigation much harder for the trains along with tracking each other.
