Robert Folger was a recurring character in TNT's Snowpiercer. He is portrayed by Vincent Gale.
He is the husband of Lilah and father of LJ. He and his family stayed in the First Class on the Snowpiercer.
History[edit | edit source]
He is one of the First Class Passengers aboard Snowpiercer. According to LJ, he first met Lilah in Saint Moriz, on a chairlift.[1]
Throughout The Series[edit | edit source]
Death[edit | edit source]
After Melanie detaches the rear of the train, Lilah realizes that they have been tricked and desperately tries to get out. However, Layton, Bennett, and Miles disconnect seven cars from the train, sending the Folgers, Nolan Grey and their army off on the Fremont Junction to freeze to death without the rest of Snowpiercer. Lilah is devastated that LJ will be left alone and she and her husband embrace as they are sent to their doom.
Legacy[edit | edit source]
When Joseph Wilford travels pass The Market Car, Wilford meets LJ and ask where Robert and Lilah is. LJ stated that they are dead in the war. [2] Later when LJ Folger was chitchatting with Alexandra Cavill, she also mentioned that her parents froze to death.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Robert is entirely submissive to the requests of his daughter LJ, very much to a fault, and also way too malleable to the expectations of his wife Lilah. He seems to have convinced himself that First Class is essential for the well being of Snowpiercer and that Third Class and the Tail Section are dispensable, despite all the evidence to the contrary. He disapproves of recent decisions from Melanie Cavill and wants to remove her from her position.[3]

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- He has a left glass eye. According to his wife, it was in fact LJ who poked it out with a fork during a fit of temper when she was 7 years old. He also had a spare.
- When Snowpiercer was brought to a stop and Alexandra Cavill boarded, she told Snowpiercer they have 13 minutes to surrender before the cold overcomes and they all freeze to death. Which means Robert Folger, Lilah Folger and the 8 First Class passengers, in the 7 separated cars, froze to death in 13 minutes after separation. Most of the power in the Utility Cars was drained out before separation.
