BSSR is an acronym for Bio-Security System Reader. It appears on the phones, panels, nameplates, and backgrounds of various surfaces. The current meaning of this shortcut is unknown. First seen on the nameplate of Bio-Security Car[1], fans have speculated it stands for Bio-Security SnowpieRcer, but since this abbreviation was spotted elsewhere[2], this seems unlikely.
