Jackboot Tyson is a recurring character on TNT's Snowpiercer. She is portrayed by Andrea Ware.
Tyson at first supports First Class against Melanie, but still shows sympathy, an example being when letting her get a photo of Alex Cavill from the booth. She eventually joins the resistance, siding against Wilford's regime. After Layton's return, she is addressed as a brakeman rather than a Jackboot, indicating that her role has changed. She is later killed by Joseph Wilford, along with some other Brakemen, with a poisoned cigar offered to her during the celebration in A Beacon for Us All.
History
Background
It is unknown what Tyson did before boarding Snowpiercer, but as of the beginning of the series, she worked as a Jackboot.
Throughout the Series
She originally sided with the Folgers and Commander Grey's army, locking up Melanie in the radio room. However, as time went on, she began to side with the resistance, and in of Season 3, was caught for taking a bath that the third class water master had let her take in return for service to the resistance. She is one of the Jackboots assigned to guard Wilford, but is killed with the rest when he offers them laced cigars during the New Eden celebration.
Relationships
In The Tortoise and the Hare, taking place when the train is under Wilfords regime, she is seen to be friends with Pike as he gives her a bath token for helping the resistance.
