Lilah Folger was a recurring character on TNT's Snowpiercer. She is portrayed by Kerry O'Malley.

History

Before The Freeze, she was a lawyer for 25 years. Her lawfirm was Finkelstein, Branxom and Folger. She and her husband were early investors in the Snowpiercer project. Eugenia, in later discussion with Commander Gray, states she has “$400 million dollars in early investor credit” so it can be presumed Lilah and her husband contributed a similar figure.

Throughout The Series

Problems with Melanie

Upon hearing about the revolts in the Tail, Lilah questions Mr. Wilford's control over Snowpiercer. Melanie assures her that everything is under control, however she is still cautious and warns that there will be more questions asked in First — especially from those powerful enough to question Melanie's authority.

Death

After Melanie detaches the rear of the train, Lilah realizes that they have been tricked and desperately tries to get out. However, Layton, Bennett and Miles disconnect seven cars from the train, sending the Folgers, Nolan Grey, and their army off on the Fremont Junction to freeze to death without the rest of Snowpiercer. Lilah is devastated that LJ will be left alone and she and her husband embrace as they are sent to their doom.

Legacy

When Joseph Wilford travels through The Market Car, he meets LJ and asks about Robert and Lilah. LJ states that they died in the war. Later when LJ Folger was chitchatting with Alexandra Cavill, she also mentioned that her parents froze to death and that her mother is presumably frozen with her typical, stonily enraged expression.

Personality

She was fiercely protective of her own, particularly her daughter LJ and the rest of first class with whom she shared a vested interest in maintaining their security and privilege.

Trivia

• Lilah fears, not entirely without justification, that the equivalent of a violent socialist uprising may at some point materialize at bring harm to her family, and specifically to LJ.
• When Snowpiercer was brought to a stop and Alexandra Cavill boarded, she told Snowpiercer they have 13 minutes to surrender before the cold overcomes and they all freeze to death. Which means Lilah Folger, Robert Folger and the 8 First Class passengers, in the 7 separated cars, froze to death in 13 minutes after separation. Most of the power in the Utility Cars was drained out before separation.
