“ | I see now that as the Freeze killed everyone I ever knew, I mistook my ticket to survival for freedom. But Justice never boarded and Wilford doubled down, with a Jackboot on our throats and a fat finger on the scales. | ” |
— Audrey in Justice Never Boarded |
Miss Audrey is a main character on TNT's Snowpiercer. She is portrayed by Lena Hall.
History
Background
When she was 18, Audrey was already a high-end escort. Private parties for the most powerful men and women in Chicago. They would go on for days, these parties, and they were all on Wilford's trains. She was Wilford's exclusively for years. It paid in gold, but she lost everything.
At some point, Wilford made Audrey cut her wrists and she fell unconscious, in a bathtub of water with Wilford in it. He later claimed, "But I saved you."
Wilford and Audrey traveled to the Forbidden City together at some point and climbed the steps of the Drepung Monastery. Most of the albums that Audrey made, were about Wilford.
When Wilford foresaw the Earth would be frozen, she staked her future on a single trade. A life with him for a place on Snowpiercer.
Throughout The Series
Sentiments with Layton
Audrey is instantly willing to help Andre Layton in his search for the train murderer and pledges to make all information from the Night Car known. She furthers her friendship/alliance with him when she reveals that Melanie Cavill must be hiding something given she will not allow her guard down.[1]
Voicing the protests of Third Class
Following the announcement that LJ Folger will stand trial by a tribunal, Miss Audrey begins to start unrest aboard Snowpiercer in a bid to be heard. When she finally is heard, she tells Melanie Cavill that the Nightcar wants a representative from Third on the tribunal; she demands that the tribunal be representative of all those aboard. Melanie remarks that what she is asking is a difficult decision, however, Miss Audrey warns her that the Night Car — and Third — are involved in all runnings of the train and will be heard no matter what.
Miss Audrey is satisfied when her demands are met, and appears at LJ's trial to give a speech on behalf of Nikki Genêt. When LJ is found guilty, Audrey looks on in solace until the decision is overturned by "Mr. Wilford" and LJ's sentence is commuted.[2]
Betrayal
When Mr. Wilford reappears with Big Alice to claim Snowpiercer, he invites Audrey to stay with him. He appears to have a strong influence on her, as in the past, Audrey has been seen slitting her wrists as an oath of loyalty to him, just like Kevin did. She agrees to stay on Big Alice, thus betraying her previous allies and friends in the Snowpiercer. Although she was considered one of the leaders on Snowpiercer, she mentions that her responsibility towards the people left her feeling overwhelmed, and this is one of the reasons she left them behind to give control to Mr. Wilford.
Personality
Audrey was very vocal about the cruelty of the social differences aboard Snowpiercer and pursued opportunities to demand more social conscience on the train.[2]
Relationships
Nikki Genêt
Whilst Miss Audrey and Nikki were never seen together, the two had a close relationship wherein Audrey acted as a mother figure to Nikki during her work — a common occurrence in the Night Car.
Following Nikki's death, Audrey advocates for strict punishment and acts as the voice of Third, pleading — or threatening — with Melanie Cavill to punish accordingly. At the trial of LJ Folger, Audrey gives a speech about Nikki and her loyalty to the Night Car.[2]

“ | We didn't come this far, suffer this much, to give in to the same tyranny that destroyed us in the first place. Even on a frozen, dead planet, humanity needs hope. | ” |

- Miss Audrey: "Recommend a new tribunal."
- Melanie Cavill: "Or what?"
- Miss Audrey: "Don't make me threaten you, Melanie. Third touches every system on this train. We will be heard."
- ― Miss Audrey and Melanie Cavill.
“ | You need to care about the lives of Third, because seven days a week, three shifts a day we keep the bearings greased and the cold at bay. We draw straws to have children and we die from preventable accidents and diseases you get treatment for. I haven't come to this place easily. When we left Chicago we needed Mr. Wilford's iron order to survive. But almost 19 revolutions later, seven years, I know all of you, and I know we need to save our souls | ” |
