Description
A bogie motor would help Snowpiercer and presumably Big Alice to be able to drive along. Making every car essentially pushes itself along, instead of only the Engine working for 1,001 cars. Each car has its own motor for the bogies.
Throughout the Series
Torretta Canyon Crisis started with a simple electrical short, causing the brakes to seize. Which overheats the Bogie Motor in Car 780. The engineers have to shut the single bogie motor off and replace it with a new one, but they dropped it and it disconnected a hydraulic wire underneath the train. Melanie had to reconnect the connector for the hydraulic system to work again.[1]
Later, after Big Alice connected to Snowpiercer, the engineers requested 3 Bogie Motors from Big Alice in a trade for fresh foods every week.[2]
