Amazing Alice is a cannabis, or cannabis-like substance grown on Big Alice. A batch was originally traded by Pike and Kevin for some fresh food[1]. Layton later gave permission to Pike to continue selling fruit and vegetables to Big Alice in order to undermine Alice's morale[2].
Wilford appears to be quite dependent on the substance, prioritizing the production of cannabis even over that of food for his crew.
