The Docking Car is a purpose made, one of a kind car intended for the head of secondary supply train Big Alice.
Technology
The docking car is designed to connect with the docking car of the primary Engine Eternal Snowpiercer. Big Alice uses six "grapples" to attach itself onto the Snowpiercer's docking car's hull. There also exists a data port link that can be accessed from the connecting Docking car.<ref>S01E10 - 994 Cars Long
