Zarah Ferami is one of the main characters on TNT's Snowpiercer. She is portrayed by Sheila Vand.
History
Background
Zarah and Andre Layton were a couple by the time that the tragedy struck. She wanted to join family in order to face the situation together and almost certainly die in short time, but Andre convinced her to attempt to board Snowpiercer by force instead, which they did. She came to resent that decision, having trouble adjusting to the rigors of life as a Tailie.[1]
Throughout The Series
Season 1
Zarah first appeared in First, the Weather Changed when she clamored onto Snowpiercer alongside the other Freeze survivors. She made it on with Layton and became a part of the Tail.
Seven years later, Zarah was established as a member of Third Class, living in the Chains in a bunk that she shared with Sean Oren Wise, her partner at the time, and another couple that is implied to have some form of liberal sexual arrangement with her and Sean.
The need to investigate Sean's murder reunites her and Andre and creates a series of difficult situations for both.
At this point in time, she was also a regular in the Nightcar.[2]
