Engineers have the most power on the train, they have access to every car on the train and live in one of the two engines.
Engineers while having the most privileges on the train also have the hardest job, one engineer has to always be at the controls of the train at all times. They get little sleep and in most of their waking hours they are working.
List of engineers, their positions, and jobs
Head Engineer - Melanie Cavil - Melanie Cavil is the mastermind behind the train, before the freeze she worked with Bennet Knox, Javier De La Torre, Peter DiMarco, and Mr Wilford to design the train. After departure her job got harder as she was acting as Head of Hospitality alongside being an engineer. As an engineer she made leadership decisions in the name of Wilford, she made external and internal repairs on the train acting as a sort of breach worker. She is skilled at driving the train with the ability to "feel the train", she can tell the conditions of the train in from and in back of her just by putting her hand on a solid surface in the train, she can also detect problems not recognized by the trains computer system by "feeling the train" as well. In Wilfords words she is the most skilled driver he's ever seen
