Wilford Industries is a large organisation responsible for designing, building and maintaining Snowpiercer. Under the guise of the mythical "Mr. Wilford", the company is run by Melanie Cavill.
There are only a limited number of people aware of the company's leadership, and each plays a vital part in keeping order aboard the train.
History
Little is known about the inception of the company, other than prior to the freeze, Melanie Cavill started the company and designed the one-thousand-one car long train, Snowpiercer using her engineering degree. Melanie created the company under the guise of "Mr. Wilford", a billionaire tycoon, so that she could both run the company undetected and be on the inside simultaneously.
