Murray, also known as The Last Australian, was a recurring character in the first two seasons of TNT's Snowpiercer. He is portrayed by Aaron Glenane.
He was a scrappy tailie charmer from Sydney with an intense desire to survive because, as far as he knew, he was the last Australian on Earth. However, as shown in A Single Trade, Murray was not the last Australian, as Emilia was also Australian, hailing from the city of Perth before the freeze.
In First, the Weather Changed, when the Tailie found out that their rations had been cut, he tries his best to comfort everyone. He is also seen sharpening his sword on the day before Layton was taken out. He later sang Happy Birthday to Old Ivan.
In Without Their Maker, he was distributing the protein bars in the dark, as he realized there's a message from Astrid in one of the bars. He quickly ran and told Josie about it.
In A Single Trade, he is seen visiting injured Josie before she got sent to the Headwoods' Lab.
In Bound by One Track, Pike tells Layton that Mama Grandé, Murray and Emilia all died of the flu while he was gone.
In Born to Bleed, Layton told Pike that he's the one who are to blame for Murray's death.
