Memorable Quotes[edit | edit source]

Chains... They took some chopped-up container and got creative with them. Bunch of freaks if you ask me. My wife also has some choice descriptors, but I think you’re gonna love ‘em.
— Roche leads Layton through The Chains in First, the Weather Changed.
Layton: "Married, right?"
Roche: "Twenty years."
Layton: "Kids?"
Roche: "We doing this? Three kids. Two of ‘em didn’t make it."
Layton: "Hard choices."
Roche: "We hold them close. Keep us going."
―  Layton talking to Roche on their break in Access Is Power.
Come on boss. Think of Anne. Think of your daughter.
Till trying to persuade Roche to join the Tailies revolution in These Are His Revolutions.
God damn it, Till! I have to go home and tell my wife there's no Wilford?
— Roche joins Layton's side in These Are His Revolutions.
Ruth: "Make way, Mr. Roche, and best make your way to the border."
Roche: "Why? What’s going on?"
Ruth: "Engineers and mountains almost as big as their egos. Where will we land when the snow settles?"
Roche: "Hopefully on a couchette with my wife and a cold beer."
―  Roche mentions Anne again in A Great Odyssey.
