History

The Night Car’s original purpose, was to serve as a brothel for Wilford. According to Melanie, when she confronted him, the resources Wilford was wasting on the brothel could sustain 20 more people that they were going to need. The car was made during Snowpiercer was being reformed into the humanity ark.

Interior

There is an ice tube that can be connected to a pipe, that Kevin McMahon used to torture Strong Boy to death in The First Blow.

Throughout the Series

Season 1

• Till took Layton to the Night Car while Miss Audrey was preforming. The three and Clay discussed about the first murder. Layton also talked and have sex with Zarah in the isolation chamber.
• Fight Night between Right Hand Man and Tina was held in the Night Car.
• Miss Audrey and Clay discussed something in the Night Car after knowing that LJ's case will only have First Class jurors.
• Melanie arrived to visit Miss Audrey personally, Audrey told Melanie to change Mr. Wilford's mind and select fair jury panel, one juror from every class, and allow every passengers to spectate the tribunal.
• Osweiller and Till gathered Third Class passengers who wishes to spectate LJ's tribunal in the Night Car.

Trivia

• The Night Car has a Isolation Chamber that Miss Audrey once used for therapy sessions with passengers. It was Miss Audrey’s vision to create the Isolation Chamber and shared the vision with Melanie Cavill.
• The Night Car once served as neutral ground for all three classes.
• The Night Car once hosted a brutal event called Fight Night, where 3rd class passengers could move to 2nd class.
• The Night Car is a muster station for First and Second Class.
• Casualties in the Night Car, from the revolution include Patterson, Unnamed Third Class Woman and Fiona.
• A Breachmen was murdered in the Isolation Chamber.
• More power was diverted to the Night Car then other cars, during the Pirate Trains absence, to keep it warm.
• During LJ and Osweillers wedding, Wilford spoke into a microphone connected to the public address system and asked them to take the sacred steps in union with the Eternal Engine (stepping on circular lights with pictures on the floor). "These four steps represent the path humanity has taken. From grass… to ice… From ice to steel. And from steel to the light… of the Eternal Engine."
• In Prepare to Brace, there is an individual dancing, wearing a gas mask and angel wings, like in the film.
• Liana Layton was conceived in the Isolation Chamber in Prepare to Brace.
