==History==
While on Snowpiercer third class passengers would have had their own couchette, seats would be convertible into sleeping beds so passengers could enjoy a comfortable journey. 

When the conversion into an ark train took place, it is unknown how much was changed.  Due to the small size of third class cabins, it can be expected little change was made. Passengers with third class tickets are mainly blue collar crew members, undertaking manual labour such as janitors, paper makers and sanitation. Brakemen who act as a police force on Snowpiercer also carry third class tickets.

==Technology==
Each cabin consists of electronic doors with micro-chip recognition lock. A public address speaker is fitted above the entrance door.

==Interior==
Although each couchette is small, they are designed so passengers in third class can have their own private area on the train. Cabins feature convertible bed seats, a sink unit, a small window and a folding table attached to the car wall.
