In ''[[First, the Weather Changed]]'', She is seen in the background in the Tail. When the Tailie rebellion happened, she also got injured. The wound was still bleeding in the following day. 

In ''[[Prepare to Brace]]'', she was learning additions from [[Lights]], along with other kids. Later she was one of the three kids Ruth selected for the apprentice program. Along with [[Miles]] and [[Mikala Mwanza|Mikala]], she was taken out of the Tail and moved to the third class. Her presumably mother [[June]] hugged her happily. It was revealed in ''[[Access Is Power]]'' that [[Miles]] doesn't know where she got taken.

Josie later found Mia in [[The Drawers]] while she was searching for Layton in ''[[Justice Never Boarded]]''.

After Layton's revolution, the sleepers in the drawers would all be freed. Including Mia.
