Z-Wreck is first seen attending the [[Tailie War Council]], ready for the insurrection. However, the insurrection was stopped by Layton's removal request. He also participated in the insurrection on the following day, fighting on the front row alongside [[Pike]] and [[Strong Boy]]. Layton convinced him to surrender to [[The Drawers]].<ref name=":0" /> As a result, the three of them slept in the drawers as told by [[The Notary]].<ref>[[Prepare to Brace]]</ref>

After [[Andre Layton]] held a brief meeting in the [[Night Car]], Z-Wreck and [[Strong Boy]] locate [[Zarah Ferami|Zarah]] and begin attacking her because she betrayed the Tail and exposed [[Josie Wellstead|Josie]]. Zarah is forced to reveal her pregnancy with Layton to the train, with Z-Wreck mentioning that the pregnancy doesn't make Layton's democracy any easier to believe in.<ref>[[The Time of Two Engines]]</ref>
