*Alex displays some of the same habits as her mother: after being showed how to, she often feels the vibrations of the train. In addition, as noted by [[LJ Folger]], she uses the same trick of calling the Engine and pretending to get the answers that she wants to trick those around her.
*In a confrontation in ''[[Into the White]]'', [[Joseph Wilford|Wilford]] claims he only took Alex with him on ''[[Big Alice]]'', to use as a weapon against her mother [[Melanie Cavill]], when they eventually would catch up with ''[[Snowpiercer]]'' again. However, he does appear to have some genuine care for her as seen in ''[[Bound by One Track]]''.
